As Sam Harris says the search of happiness continues even when things go as well as they can go.
Noone sits and says I've acompished my all goals and now I'm going to eat ice-creams before you untill I die. 
One thing we notice is that pleassures like drinking a beer give us a temporary relief from the search and some of us think that the best tactics of our life is to look for another pleassure and push the pedal untill we've run out of road.
