Honestly, I came here initially because I was ashamed of my rejection of Christianity. It's ridiculous, I know, but I am the only member of my family who deviates from catholicism. The vast majority of my peers are Christian. For a very long time I was isolated, going through the motions of a religion that i could never be a member of. Eventually I got tired of pretending to be something I'm not. I stumbled across these forums, and suddenly I found a place where it's ok to be yourself. Haha, and i guess it's helped me be myself in the real world too. I will never be ashamed of my beliefs again, and if other people can't accept me, so be it, I don't need their acceptance.
