I would just like to say that I think it is an illusion that some people make a difference and others do not make a difference. Every person that we think of as exceptional got there with the help of people we do not even remember. Still, even though they are not remembered they were necessary and in some cases very important to those we idolize. Also, while everyone may eventually be forgotten, this does not have a impact on their importance. Consider, how many people even remember who invented distillation and further still who the important people in his life were; still today we all enjoy the many benefits brought to us by these unknown people.
