Leonard Cohen is a Canadian poet. He is also Jewish.
Cohen once booked himself into a spiritual retreat where he was welcomed by a Japanese guru. The guru told him that, for the duration of his stay, he himself wasn't going to be Japanese and advised Cohen not to be Jewish.
I wish that, in opportune times, it could always be that simple to set aside the differences which separate us.
