In other terms, I do not beleive in heaven or hell, or any morale value for that matter. However, I can't seem to escape from my last thread of Christianity in the fact that there is "An almighty and divine power"

I can't seem to panthom how the universe was created by itself. Matter and Energy cannot exist unless matter and energy had existed in the first place. Stephen Hawkings seems to have a thoery to contradict this, however I have no idea how he would explain it.
The universe may have existed in one form or another forever. If a God created it who created God?

I believe that there are only two likely possibilities.

1. The universe has been around forever in one form or another or

2. The universe created a higher power which created the universe (mobius loop)

and one less likely is some God that has been around forever and got bored and decided to create the universe.

Now I want to let go of Christianity as a whole and become Athesist or at least agnostic. Can someone help explain to me how the universe came here in the first palce, b/c my simple little mind can't wrap around it

How can we be so arrogant and egotistical to believe that the whole Universe was created just for us?
