I went through all the same sort of bullying sh*t from society and the world as you did when I was a teenager 40years ago, but I soon decided in my own mind that nobody was ever going to push me around again, and I've been fine ever since :)
Christianity is all about REJECTING the world, not meekly submitting to it!
Hell, look at my topic elsewhere in this forum about Jesus saying the greatest man ever to be born was a scruffy dropout !
When I realised in my late teens that the Bible backed me up every inch of the way in my anti-world stance, it felt good and I've never looked back since!
