I understand your point. I have been to a few jewish forums, just to study judaism , and I found a few of them addressing themselves as the 'chosen people ' and stuff.

There is indeed an article in wikipedia 'chosen people '.

Perhaps this could be the reason why they have a superiority complex, which i too have perceived in some.

However it should also be understood that these people have suffered a lot, and my heart feels for them.

The jewish genocide perpetrated by the nazis is pretty traumatizing for any sensitive being.

India is the only country in the world which has never persecuted its jewish refugees , who came there escaping roman tyranny, on the grounds of religion, culture or ethnicity.

The Hindu kings gave them rights and privileges in India and full freedom of worship.

When the portuguese catholic christians conquered Goa in India, they slaughtered many jews in the goan inquisition, till the portuguese were defeated and checked by the Hindu maratha warriors.

I see that many fundamentalist christians, including martin luther , the father of protestantism, harboured anti-semitism.

They were also persecuted by islamic terrorists, in the granada massacre.

They indeed had a nightmare of a past from the nazis, islamic fundamentalists, and the christian fundamentalists.

If possible go through Anne Frank's 'Autobiography of a young girl ', which is a moving account written by a young jewish girl , while she was hiding from the nazis , with her family in holland.
I really do empathise, I really do, the Christians had the Romans, the Muslims have themselves and the greed ridden free world, the Jews had the holocaust, the Catholics have themselves, and the list goes on and on. My point is yeah all religions feel that they are the chosen ones. It's a matter of Faith. I mean the first Arabs that became Jews as I understand it were persecuted by the Romans as well. Jews aren't a race they are a faith and they're physical heritage is Arabic. As gentle as people try to be essentially that is where Jews come from and that is what they are. Culture is a different animal.

I care less what I am labelled as, all faiths and most "races" have been persecuted. Time sensitizes the wounds for sure. The Holocaust is still very fresh in some peoples minds and for the Jewish well... they are the chosen ones and every affront will stick in their minds for sure if not written about for years and years.

Nevertheless my statement holds true. Their ego stands larger than themselves.
