This was my original intent of the term "Christian Nation." Many people say we were founded as a Christian nation, but we were founded by people escaping religious tyranny. Though they also managed to commit crimes in the name of "my religion is right and yours is wrong", the powers that came to be were smart enough to realize rules needed to be made that prevented this country from having an established religion. Unfortunately, too many sheep nowadays want to baa their way into overturning those rules and establishing a theocracy... based on their religion of course.
