But the holy spirt has not come after Jesus, Muhammed came after Jesus.
Muhammed was the one who "convince the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.”
Muhammed was the one who did "not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will announce to you things to come." ie the Quran were not his own words but he was reciting the actual words of God.

The Old Testament talks about how:
Deuteronomy 18:18 “I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee (Moses), and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

The brethren of the Israelites to whom Moses was sent to were the Ishmaelites to whom Muhammed was sent to!
In the Old Testament God talks about how the new prophet will be like Moses and Muhammed was like Moses in so many ways.
It says God will put His words in His mouth, and Muhammed would have Gods words revealed to him by the Holy Spirit (Angel Gabriel) and recite them with his mouth.
I dont get why Christian reject this Great Prophet who they have been foretold of.

Why do Christians think these verses refer to someone else? Who is this someone? When will this prophet come? And finally, why could it not be Muhammed?
