I agree that "do's" are more constructive. Here's a few that might fill the bill:
1. Do assume that everyone has something to offer.
2. Do be open minded enough to allow others to have their own opinons.
3. Do treat others as you would like to be treated.
4. Do respect the social boundaries of other people.
5. Do claim the privilege of setting your own boundaries.
6. Do allow yourself to care about other people.
7. Do live your life with an attitude of a glass that is half full rather than half empty.
8. Do use your intelligence and common sense when making a choice of action.
9. Do recognize the fact that not everyone is the same gender, orientation, mindset or religious and philosophical preference as you, and enjoy the chance you have to learn something new, outside your own box.
10. Respect yourself, no matter what mistakes you make. When you make one, pick yourself up, learn from it, make amends as much as possible, then move on. |
