already read the "hitchhiker" ... read all of Robert Jordan, David Eddings, J V Jones, Stephen Donaldson, Melanie Rawn .... and the list goes on ... when I read "fun books" it's usually fantasy .... not into some of the really techno sci fi .... books that do the whole electrical engineering thing ... as in Hunt for Red October ... read all of James Patterson, Faye Kellerman, Robert Ludlum ... Johnathan Kellerman ... when you read as much as I do, you need something to grab your attention quick and keep up the pace .. I'm not fond of short stories for the most part ... the characters are difficult to give much depth to in such a short span .... thanks guys for all the suggestions.
